Job Summary
Provide clinical services to residents in skilled nursing, assisted living, and rehabilitation settings under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist. Assist in providing rehabilitative services to individuals with mental, physical, emotional, and developmental needs by teaching techniques for mobility, stretching, and adaptive equipment use. Evaluate living skills and capabilities to help residents function independently, while building trust-based relationships with residents and families. Monitor patient progress, document care services, and collaborate with the broader care team to develop and tailor treatment plans. Requires current Occupational Therapy Assistant state license, CPR certification, and physical stamina for lifting and transferring residents.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited therapy program
- 2–3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant state license
- CPR certification
