Job Summary
Conduct fair-balanced, on-label scientific discussions with Key Opinion Leaders and deliver medical presentations to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses. Provide short-term coverage for Key Opinion Leaders and institutions, document insights in CRM within 48 hours, and contribute to medical project planning. Support new product launches and coordinate scientific presence at regional and national congresses while maintaining comprehensive knowledge of rare kidney disease literature. This role requires 2+ years of MSL experience, a strong preference for nephrology or rare disease expertise, and the ability to travel up to 60-80% with some evening and weekend work. Candidates must reside in their designated territory.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a relevant scientific discipline
- 2+ years of MSL experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Experience in nephrology or rare disease (particularly IgAN or FSGS)
- Demonstrated deep scientific expertise about assigned molecules/products and overall therapeutic areas
- Strong scientific acumen and ability to engage in peer-to-peer dialogue with KOLs on complex medical topics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to tailor content to diverse audiences
- Skilled in synthesizing and communicating scientific information in a compliant, balanced, and engaging way
- Strategic thinker with strong collaboration, project management, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive, innovative problem solver
- Knowledge of FDA guidelines and regulations, PhRMA code, and other compliance and industry standards
- Proficiency with CRM (e.g., Veeva), standard field reporting, and virtual engagement tools
- Ability to travel up to 60-80%
- Ability to travel to regional/national meetings as assigned
- Some evening and weekend work
