Job Summary
Drive a company vehicle to safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, and interoffice mail across Albuquerque and New Mexico routes. Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle, load and unload vehicles with equipment, and conduct pre/post-trip inspections. Strictly observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules while maintaining a professional image and demonstrating safe, courteous driving behavior. Adapt to varying route assignments and client needs, perform physical tasks including lifting items up to 50 pounds, and navigate varying weather conditions. Complete required background checks, drug screens, and MVR reviews as part of the application process.
Required Qualifications
- Must have open availability with your work schedule
- Must be 19 years of age
- Active driver's license for 3 years
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability
- Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Must have an excellent driving history
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift items off storage racks
- Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Must complete a drug screen
- Must complete a motor vehicle record (MVR) review
