Job Summary
Set up and operate welding equipment, CNC lathes, band saws, and metal forming presses to manufacture flex joint components for aerospace aircraft. Inspect product for conformance using visual weld inspection and dimensional tools like calipers and micrometers. Read work instructions, manufacturing operation sheets, and tech cards to ensure daily compliance with customer drawings and aerospace quality standards. Maintain equipment, log operator maintenance, and clean work areas while adhering to EHS requirements and 5S protocols. Acquire and maintain certifications for welding operations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass welding equipment and inspection assessment and become certified on required alloy/joint combinations and inspection processes as applicable
- Good attention to detail and eye/hand coordination skills
- Uses mathematical and reading skills
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and work instructions
- Near vision of Jaeger #2 at 12" and far vision of 20/30 or better in either eye, with or without corrective lenses
- Ability to read/write/speak English
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- Must be able to lift 25 – 45lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
