Flex Clinical LPN/CMA - Jacksonville Nephrology (24 Hours/Week)

Job Summary
Obtain medical information, vital signs, and diagnostic test results to prepare for physician examinations and document in the medical record. Assist with patient treatments by handing instruments, providing dressings, and preparing equipment per infection control policies. Administer prescribed care treatments, manage treatment plans by scheduling tests, relaying results, and making referrals or obtaining prior authorizations. Serve as a patient advocate by protecting rights, addressing complaints, and providing emotional support to patients and families. Maintain confidentiality, adhere to OSHA and incident reporting policies, and attend required education programs for yearly evaluation. Work in an office setting with a 50-50 sitting/standing ratio during clinic hours, with CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Educated as an LPN or CMA by an approved program
- Current licensure in the state of Illinois or certification for CMA
- CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines required within 30 days of hire
- Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to performance standards including dress code
- Insure confidentiality for patients and staff
- Maintain knowledge by attending appropriate education programs, reading current journals and literature, and documents for yearly evaluation
- Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures
- Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy
- Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards
- Orient new personnel to specialty
