Flemish & Dutch (Belgium / nl-BE + nl-NL) Language Specialist (UK based Contract role)

Job Summary
Conduct high-quality sentence training to improve the language understanding module and manage voice recording uploads. Update system prompts per client requests and test conversational systems extensively before go-live. Review customer calls to flag problematic conversations and collaborate with engineers and dialogue designers to optimize conversational UX and call containment. Requires native proficiency in Flemish and standard Dutch, plus English working proficiency. Contract spans 3–5 months with a maximum of 16 hours spread across three days; immediate start required. Overlap with UK working hours (minimum 4 hours during 10am–6pm) is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Native/fluent speaker of both Flemish (Belgian Dutch, nl-BE) and standard Dutch (nl-NL)
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Great communicator
- Meticulous with an eye for detail
- Can-do attitude with a high standard for own work
- Passion for great user experiences
- Interest in natural language understanding technologies
- Curiosity about how advanced conversational artificial intelligence is changing contact centres
- Ability to work within UK working hours (minimum 4h overlap with 10am-6pm UK working day)
- Experience in natural language technologies and a rough understanding of how they work
- Experience in translation and/or linguistics
- Experience in data science and related areas
- Experience in tech industries and understanding of how the software works
- Experience in working with startups
- Experience in jobs that involve language skills, such as linguistics, translation, script writing, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with healthcare or appointment-booking contexts
