Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles while diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues. Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards, accurately documenting repairs and completing work orders. Maintain a clean work area, follow all safety procedures, and collaborate with supervisors to support fleet operations. This role involves working in a mobile, outside, and shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise, requiring the ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and navigate various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' of hands-on experience performing automotive and diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
- Must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods
- Must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions
- Must be able to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace
