Job Summary
Schedule and perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all company fleet vehicles. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of vehicles, including heavy duty and PIT equipment. Respond to service calls, maintain tools, and clean the work area. Pick up and deliver vehicles to support operations. This role requires a minimum of one year of mechanic experience on light and heavy equipment, with a driving record free of major moving violations in the last three years. ASE certification and CDL license are strongly preferred. The position is based in Ft. Myers, Florida, with a schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM Tuesday through Friday and 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of mechanic experience on light and heavy equipment
- Experience with heavy duty and PIT equipment
- Excellent demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude
- Must have a driving record with no major moving violations in the last three (3) years
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years journeyman mechanic experience
- Gasoline, diesel and propane vehicle experience
- ASE certification
- CDL license or certification
