Job Summary
Fleet Technician opportunity with Ashley Furniture in Arcadia, WI. Inspect, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and trailers to meet safety and performance standards; diagnose diesel engine issues from minor tune-ups to major overhauls; perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections; troubleshoot and repair trailer systems (brakes, suspension, lighting, hydraulics); ensure safety compliance and accurate maintenance records; collaborate with a skilled team to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Competitive pay with shift differentials, tool and boot allowances, comprehensive benefits, and year-round workload. CDL or certifications are a plus but not required.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience as a diesel and/or trailer mechanic
- Strong knowledge of trailer systems, brakes, suspension, electrical, and hydraulics
- CDL or certifications are a plus but not required
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
- Team player with a commitment to quality and safety
- Experience inspecting, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks and trailers
- Diagnostics and repair of diesel engine issues; routine maintenance like oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections
