Job Summary
Diesel and trailer mechanic role focused on inspecting, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks and trailers to meet safety and performance standards. Responsibilities include diagnosing diesel engine issues from tune-ups to major overhauls, performing routine maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections), troubleshooting and repairing trailer systems (brakes, suspension, lighting, hydraulics), ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and keeping accurate maintenance records. Work as part of a skilled team to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. 5-7 years of diesel/trailer mechanic experience; CDL or certifications are a plus but not required. Department offers tool and boot allowances and comprehensive benefits. Must be able to lift/move heavy equipment and be a team player focused on quality and safety.
Required Qualifications
