Job Summary
Fleet Technician responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks and trailers to meet safety and performance standards; diagnosing and fixing diesel engine issues from minor tune-ups to major overhauls; performing routine maintenance like oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections; troubleshooting and repairing trailer systems including brakes, suspension, electrical, and hydraulics; ensuring compliance with safety regulations and keeping accurate maintenance records; working as part of a skilled team to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. On-site at Ashley Furniture in Arcadia, WI, with a focus on keeping trucks and trailers rolling and delivering reliable, quality service.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience as a diesel and/or trailer mechanic
- Strong knowledge of trailer systems, brakes, suspension, electrical, and hydraulics
- CDL or certifications are a plus but not required
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
- Team player with a commitment to quality and safety
