Job Summary
Manage the on-site Dollar General dedicated fleet and lead team members to deliver on-time freight pickup and delivery while ensuring safety compliance and reverse logistics management. Utilize the driver management tool to dispatch, track, and report results, partnering with the Sr. Transportation Manager to execute a strategic plan for expense maintenance and active driver growth. Accountable for developing the annual private fleet budget, managing driver training and payroll, and championing retention by addressing driver needs such as home time and equipment issues. Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis for the Outbound Operations team to develop scorecards and implement new processes. Requires 10% travel; Bachelor's degree preferred with experience managing at least 50 drivers.
