Job Summary
Conduct new driver orientations, CMV safety instruction, and operations training for drivers, instructors, and yard truck operators. Coordinate onboard dash camera and Electronic Log Device installations while managing accident investigations and reviews. Act as a backup to Operations and support the Recruiting Coordinator with owner operator and company driver recruitment efforts. Ensure company compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service requirements and intermodal transportation regulations. Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. This role supports the implementation of safety protocols and corrective actions within the intermodal transportation team.
Required Qualifications
- intermodal transportation experience
- strong driver recruiting skills
- working knowledge of Samsara and Tenstreet
- understanding of Hours of Service requirements
- ability to effectively coach drivers to improve performance, maintain compliance, and promote safe operating practices
- FMCSA knowledge
- complete understanding of FMCSA part 395 - Hours of Service of Drivers
- applicable areas of intermodal and transportation knowledge
