Fleet Readiness Lead - Japan

Job Summary
Act as the primary point of contact for partner-led fleet service operations, ensuring alignment with Waymo’s operational standards, policies, and strategic objectives. Facilitate the exchange of insights and best practices between Waymo’s operations and partners. Establish and scale initial fleet service, maintenance, and repair operations in new markets. Guide and manage a team of diagnostic technicians, ensuring effective task execution. Partner with Operations leads to ensure cross-market operational consistency and deploy procedural changes. Provide performance updates and insights to Operations leadership to drive improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual - competent speaking and writing both Japanese and English
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial operations and logistics role with a focus on fleet readiness initiatives
- Proven ability to drive the execution of daily operational tasks, while ensuring operational efficiency
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external partners and executives
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to identify gaps and make informed decisions
