Fleet Project Manager

Job Summary
Coordinate assigned fleet build projects by overseeing activities across sales, engineering, supply, and manufacturing to ensure adherence to specifications, budgets, and timelines. Create detailed project plans, organize multi-functional teams, and lead corrective actions while forecasting delays and developing alternate plans. Serve as the central point of contact, driving visibility and accountability among internal and external stakeholders through regular status updates and problem-solving. Maintain consistent communication with customers and senior management, enforce documentation standards, and optimize project KPIs including cost reduction and delivery efficiency. Operate in a combination of office and shopfloor environments with occasional domestic travel for client meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Must maintain a balance of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with enough time spent on the shop-floor of the facilities as needed to support the project
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
- Occasional domestic travel is anticipated for training and client meetings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of manufacturing process so he/she can develop technical scenarios to meet the goals of the project
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including Microsoft Excel and/or Project
- Organizes and manages projects; interacts, supports, facilitates, and leads multi-functional work teams; leads teams to consensus; strong negotiation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering)
- Certified Project Management (CPM)
- Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing principles
