Fleet & Operations Specialist (Bilingual English/Spanish Required)

Job Summary
Coordinate daily dispatch and scheduling of trucks to ensure timely operations and efficient container movement to and from ports. Monitor routes, fuel consumption, and driver assignments while developing and improving Standard Operating Procedures. Support driver recruitment, onboarding, and compliance with all applicable regulations including DOT, FMCSA, and Hours-of-Service requirements. Track maintenance, repairs, and preventive programs to minimize downtime and ensure fleet reliability. Generate reports on fleet performance, fuel usage, and operational costs to identify cost-saving initiatives. Assist in planning for increased container volume and scaling operations in Florida and Texas. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in fleet coordination, transportation, or logistics
- Strong knowledge of trucking operations, fleet management, and maintenance coordination
- Working knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and related regulatory frameworks
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong organizational, multitasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with containerized cargo and port operations is preferred
- Proficiency in fleet management systems and tracking tools is a plus
- Experience working with ocean carriers or international logistics operations
- Knowledge of port terminal operations and container movements
- Familiarity with MOTIVE or similar fleet tracking systems
