Job Summary

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel fleet equipment including tractors, trailers, and lift gates in compliance with DOT standards. Document all repairs and parts usage via the fleet maintenance system tablet while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Assist senior technicians with complex repairs and take directions as assigned. This role requires a valid driver's license and one year of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience, with overtime compensation available. Schedule includes the 3rd shift from 10 PM to 6 AM on weekends off.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic
  • Must furnish own personal hand tools
  • Able to read and write legibly
  • basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
  • Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications

Desired Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
  • Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system
  • Previous mechanical and PM program experience
  • Experience using fleet maintenance software
  • Welding ability
