Job Summary
Diagnose and repair fleet vehicle chassis, specialized back-end tank systems, tractors, forklifts, and small engines while maintaining service and repair records. Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs for production equipment and specialized machinery, then prepare and manage the maintenance budget. Respond to vehicle and equipment breakdowns in the field as needed, arrange and document outsourced maintenance by vendors, and maintain parts inventory and work areas. Document all repairs in an electronic maintenance management system and ensure the work environment remains clean and orderly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-4 years automotive mechanic experience
- Ability to operate independently and collaboratively within a team
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills, including punctuality for on-time attendance
- Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs
- Must be physically located in the United States while performing this job
