Job Summary
Fleet Mechanic responsible for inspecting and maintaining ambulances, wheelchair vans, and other company vehicles. Performs routine and intermediate maintenance, diagnoses and repairs diesel engine issues, conducts inspections, uses schematics and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems, and maintains records of repairs and services. Coordinates with the fleet manager for replacements to prevent delays and hazards, ensuring safety and efficient fleet operations. Requires strong teamwork, communication, flexibility, and a safety-focused mindset. Physical duties include lifting up to 100 lbs unaided and up to 200 lbs with assistance in a mechanic garage setting.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of mechanical experience
- Experience in fleet and asset inventory management
- Working knowledge of Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
