Job Summary
Maintain and repair the delivery truck fleet, including diagnosis of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and AC systems. Perform preventative maintenance and handle tanker fabrication or aluminum repair as needed. Track all maintenance records and DVIRS while ensuring a clean and organized shop environment. Knowledge of air brakes, DOT/FMCSA/CHP regulations, and HAZMAT requirements is essential. Candidates must possess excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, alongside self-motivation and strong problem-resolution abilities.
Required Qualifications
- thorough knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of a Class A diesel fleet mechanic
- Knowledge of air brakes and related plumbing
- Proficient in the diagnosis of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and AC systems
- Knowledge of the mechanical requirements of the DOT/FMCSA/CHP for a HAZMAT fleet, performing intrastate commerce
- Must maintain a clean and organized shop environment

Desired Qualifications
- Tanker fabrication and aluminum repair experience a plus
- Preventative maintenance background
