Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment while diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, brake, tire, and hydraulic issues. Troubleshoot diesel and gas-powered equipment problems, service small engines, and complete DOT inspections to maintain compliance. Document all repairs, communicate equipment status, and manage parts inventory. Coordinate larger repairs with outside vendors as needed. Maintain an organized shop environment. Requires 3+ years of experience as a Diesel or Fleet Mechanic, strong troubleshooting skills, and DOT inspection certification. Full-time role with Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, Truck Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Basic computer/tablet skills for maintenance records
- DOT inspection certification or willingness to obtain
Desired Qualifications
- Diesel truck and trailer repair experience
- Small engine repair experience
- Welding or fabrication skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
