Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment using diagnostic tools. Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions while collaborating with the operations team to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites, keeping accurate records of all maintenance and repair work. Variable shifts are required to support fleet operations, with entry-level candidates eligible for on-the-job training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to complete SRM's pre-employment screenings
- Willingness to work variable shifts as needed to support fleet operations
Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment technician
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
- CDL
- Vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety standards and protocols
