Fleet Mechanic

Fleet Mechanic needed for a union automotive facility in Flint, MI. The role involves performing routine inspections and maintenance on fleet vehicles (oil changes, tire rotations, brake adjustments, fluid replacements), diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues with diagnostic tools, repairing/replacing defective parts, and maintaining detailed repair records. Responsibilities include ensuring safety and compliance with company policies, collaborating to establish maintenance schedules, keeping a clean work area, and communicating with management. The position is 2nd shift with 3rd shift for LOA, offering $41.58/hour and full union benefits once qualified. Requires a Journeyman Card or 8 years of verifiable relevant experience and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Experience with fleet vehicles and computerized diagnostic equipment is preferred; strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills are essential.
