Job Summary
Fleet Mechanic responsible for maintenance and repair of our growing equipment fleet in a shop setting with occasional field work. Duties include daily shop maintenance and repair of gasoline/diesel engines, small engine equipment (commercial mowers, chainsaws, blowers, trimmers), light construction equipment (skid steers, mini excavators, hydraulic/electrical systems), preventative maintenance on company vehicles (body work/painting when needed), maintaining specialized equipment (mini excavators, hydro-seeders, snow plows), inventory tracking, material handling, and occasional client-site deliveries. Must be mechanically skilled, reliable, and capable of diagnosing and repairing a wide range of equipment; strong troubleshooting and communication skills; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver's license (CDL a plus). Hours are full-time with benefits including insurance, paid time off, simple IRA, training and advancement opportunities; part-time schedules may be available.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience with gasoline and diesel engines
- Strong background in small engine repair and maintenance
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
- MA Hoisting License preferred
- Certifications from STIHL, Kohler, Wright Stander, Briggs & Stratton are a plus
