Fleet Mechanic

Hands-on Shop Equipment Mechanic / Fleet & Small Engine Technician needed to maintain and repair a growing fleet of equipment for Landscaping By J. Michael across Massachusetts. You’ll work in the shop and occasionally in the field to ensure all equipment and vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for daily use. Responsibilities include: day-to-day maintenance and repair in the shop; repairing small engine equipment such as commercial mowers, chainsaws, blowers, trimmers; servicing light construction equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, electric and hydraulic sanders; preventative maintenance on company vehicles including basic body work and painting; maintaining specialized equipment like mini excavators, track machines, Ditch Witch SK900, hydro-seeders, sanders, and Fisher snow plows; loading and receiving materials and helping track inventory; occasional deliveries to client job sites; ensuring equipment is properly maintained and documented for field use. Requirements include 5+ years of experience with gasoline/diesel engines, strong small engine repair background, relevant certifications are a plus, ability to diagnose electrical/hydraulic systems, good communication, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. CDL is a plus; MA Hoisting License preferred; part-time schedules available for some roles.
