Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet and diesel equipment at customer locations across South Jersey and Philadelphia. Perform preventative maintenance inspections, troubleshoot medium- and heavy-duty trucks, and execute repairs involving brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and engines. Maintain accurate documentation of service records, communicate repair recommendations directly with customers, and prioritize work to minimize downtime. Follow all safety procedures and operational standards while representing the company professionally. Travel locally as needed to manage service calls independently.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Fleet Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues
- Ability to work independently in the field and manage service calls effectively
- Valid driver's license
- Must be dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented
- Ability to travel locally throughout the South Jersey and Philadelphia area
- Ability to pass background screening and drug testing if required by customer job sites
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- ASE certifications
