Job Summary
Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment while performing inspections and preventive maintenance. Execute major and minor repairs of defective components, document vehicle records in the Fleet Management system, and source and procure parts through national accounts. Maintain the work environment in an organized and safe condition. This role requires proficiency in light diesel and gas vehicle repair, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in active conditions involving fumes, noise, and extreme weather. MMT Ambulance supports ASE certifications and offers free continuing education for our team members.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress
- Possess good verbal communication skills
- Prior experience with repair and maintenance of ambulance or emergency vehicles
- Proficiency in both light diesel and gas vehicle repair
- Ability to utilize multiple computer systems, and accurately document all actions in MMT's Fleet Management System
- Must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- ASE or manufacturers certifications preferred but not required
