Job Summary
Maintain GAAMHA vehicles and equipment in safe, reliable operating condition to support uninterrupted program services; develop and manage a proactive preventative maintenance schedule for all fleet vehicles and equipment; perform diagnostics and repairs (brakes, oil changes, tires, electrical systems, wheelchair lifts); maintain service records; conduct monthly safety inspections; ensure compliance with vehicle safety regulations; coordinate with the Transit Department to ensure vehicle availability; assist with seasonal snow removal and transportation of individuals receiving services as needed; maintain confidentiality and professionalism per HIPAA; flexible to support operational needs including occasional weekends and on-call; participate in additional duties to support agency operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in motor vehicle maintenance and repair
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license
- Ability to obtain a Hackney license
- Pre-employment screening including drug test, CORI, and fingerprinting
- DOT medical card preferred
- Own tools for vehicle maintenance
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with fleet maintenance software preferred
