Job Summary
Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including oilfield trucks, tractor trailers, and tanker vehicles. Maintain and repair diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated machinery while completing daily reports, work orders, and parts procurement. Plan and schedule repairs in M5 planner, coordinate mechanical write-ups, and ensure safe working conditions with full compliance to federal, state, and local regulations. Utilize power and hand tools, maintain a clean work area, and assist in training new employees. Requires minimum three years of heavy-duty truck mechanic experience, computer literacy, and ability to meet safety-sensitive function criteria.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years experience as a heavy-duty truck mechanic
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to be trained on software systems
- Must have the willingness to learn
- Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Demonstrate ability to follow detailed instructions
- Demonstrate ability to work independently
- Demonstrate ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to understand and effectively use repair and parts manuals written in English
- Ability to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job
- Possess physical ability to perform all aspects of job
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, taste, and smell
- Continuous concentrated mental and visual attention required
- Visual Requirements: include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Frequent physical effort including handling tools and equipment required
- Frequently lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
- Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using diagnostic software a plus
