Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive preventive maintenance inspections and services on all fleet equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electronic systems including electrical, drivetrain, air, brake systems, suspension, and tires. Troubleshoot and service computerized powertrain components and vehicle electronics while maintaining and utilizing personal tools necessary to perform job duties. Follow all company safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain fleet tires and ensure all equipment meets performance and safety standards. Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Valid CDL-A or CDL-B and Medical Examiner's Certificate required before operating a commercial vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One-year technical certificate
- Five years of relevant experience in transportation equipment maintenance and repair
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Capability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to accurately record data
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Must have or be able to obtain a Class A or B CDL permit within 6 months of hire
- Valid CDL-A or CDL-B
- Medical Examiner's Certificate
- EPA Section 608 Type II Certification
- EPA Section 609 MVAC Certification
- FMCSA Brake Inspector Certification (Part 396.25)
- FMCSA Annual Inspector Certification (Part 396.19)

- Experience with transport refrigeration systems
