Job Summary
Diagnose and perform repairs on fleet trucks, executing preventive maintenance and diagnostic analysis across electrical, hydraulic, transmission, and mechanical systems. Design minor equipment modifications as directed, maintain repair records, and utilize applicable field technology. Ensure full compliance with safety rules and regulations while obtaining DOT inspection certification within six months of employment. Requires one year of full-time mechanic experience, ASE certification within 12 months, and a valid Class B Minnesota driver's license. Includes 16 days PTO, immediate health insurance, 401(k) match, and extensive in-house training.
Required Qualifications
- One year of full-time mechanic experience, or currently attending/recent graduate from technical college
- Certified to complete DOT inspections within 6 months of employment
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license and excellent driving record
- Possess ASE Certification or become certified within 12 months of employment
- Possess or be able to obtain and maintain Class B Minnesota driver's license within 6 months of appointment
- Must be able to pass a drug test before beginning employment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or completion of technical training program in a mechanically related field
- Experience on diesel and heavy equipment or electronic vehicle systems
- Experience on heavy duty trucks
