Job Summary
Review driver check calls to determine location and estimated delivery times, then receive and validate load assignments from Customer Service. Dispatch loads by issuing routing, fuel, and loading instructions while calling customers to schedule appointments. Conduct driver evaluations and route meetings to resolve performance issues, conflicts, and requests regarding pay or equipment. Enforce company policies, maintain performance records, and participate in Quality/Kaizen teams. Manage approximately 35-40 drivers to meet pick-up and delivery requirements, maximize revenue, and ensure safety across flatbed freight operations for roofing, steel, and specialized loads.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree, preferably in Transportation and Logistics
- relevant experience in transportation or related field
- Fluent in computer applications
