Job Summary
Fleet Manager responsible for leading a large on-site fleet of vehicles and equipment, overseeing day-to-day operations, development of preventative maintenance programs, and optimizing asset utilization. Manages a team of logistics coordinators, coordinates with third-party transportation providers, drives continuous improvement through fleet performance metrics, maintains accurate asset and maintenance records, and collaborates with operations and finance to align fleet strategy with business needs. Focus areas include uptime, reliability, vendor negotiations, inventory management of fleet parts/tools/equipment, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading fleet operations (vehicles and/or heavy equipment)
- Experience managing third-party vendors or transportation providers
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach
- Proficiency with fleet management systems or related operational software
- Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory requirements related to fleet operations
