Job Summary
Fleet Manager will oversee local fleet operations in Savannah, dispatch drivers, coordinate with CSR to manage/load schedules, and assign loads to drivers to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries. Responsibilities include tracking data in the TMS, communicating with customers, drivers, and the operations team, monitoring load progress, addressing potential delays (vehicle breakdowns, weather, traffic), optimizing chassis utilization, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. The role requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and supervisory abilities, with proficiency in Port Pro and Motive, and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; five+ years of related experience are also preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Port Pro & Motive
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Ability to handle multiple spreadsheets
