Job Summary
Fleet Manager responsible for overseeing fleet operations, maintenance, safety compliance, and analytics for Priority Waste. Lead a team of drivers and mechanics, manage maintenance schedules and budget performance, ensure regulatory adherence and environmental compliance, and provide regular reports to senior management. Requires a bachelor’s degree (preferred), at least 5 years of fleet management experience (preferably in waste management), strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and telematics, and proven leadership and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, fleet management, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, preferably in waste management or a related industry
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and safety regulations
- Strong understanding of fleet management software, telematics, and other tracking systems
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Proven experience in managing a team and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to work in both an office and outdoor environment, including occasional site visits to inspect fleet operations
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods when needed
