Job Summary
The Fleet Manager is responsible for dispatching and managing maintenance and repairs of the Philabundance fleet, including commercial and non-commercial vehicles. Key responsibilities include conducting daily vehicle inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations, overseeing fleet compliance and safety, and ensuring efficient delivery operations. Additionally, the manager provides excellent customer service, coordinates resources for on-time deliveries, maintains accurate records, and drives improvements in fleet operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, fleet maintenance, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Knowledge of federal DOT rules and regulations is essential for ensuring compliance and managing fleet operation standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- CLD license highly preferred
- A minimum of 5 years dedicated to logistics, fleet maintenance dispatching responsibilities or equivalent required
- Strong knowledge of Shipping/Receiving, Quality Control, OSHA and Federal and local DOT Safety rules and regulation required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in accounting, planning, analytical, and/or reporting experience; ability to identify financial issues and provide cost-effective solutions
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience managing a fleet of commercial vehicles
