Job Summary
Fleet Manager (Contract) in Penticton, BC, responsible for end-to-end management of the local e-scooter/e-bike fleet: transportation, deployment, relocation, retrieval, and maintenance to ensure vehicles are charged, safe, and positioned to meet community needs. Independent contractor arrangement with revenue-share earnings (~$1500 per week) based on fleet output. Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck), hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible schedule including weekends; tech-savvy with mobile tools to locate/manage the fleet; strong knowledge of Penticton geography; storage/charging space preferred for maximizing earnings. Responsibilities include fleet transportation, fleet maintenance, end-to-end operational management, and real-time field execution to overcome obstacles and optimize performance.
Required Qualifications
- Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes
- License: Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers
- Physical Ability: lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; able to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods
- Availability: Flexible schedule with a willingness to regularly operate on weekends
- Storage Space: garage/warehouse/commercial facility with electricity preferred for charging
- Tech-Savvy: comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet
- Local Knowledge: strong knowledge of Penticton's local geography
- Vehicle Access: must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck)
