Job Summary
Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the terminal shop while supervising, coaching, and developing shop personnel. Ensure preventive maintenance and necessary repairs are completed on company equipment in a timely manner by coordinating activities with operations, managing parts inventory, and maintaining accurate electronic maintenance records. Schedule shop personnel to ensure adequate staffing during peak service hours and perform required federal and state vehicle inspections. Maintain Safety Data Sheets and promote a clean, organized, and safe shop environment through appropriate training and adherence to technical manuals. This role involves direct supervisory responsibility for hourly and salaried fleet personnel within an indoor shop and office environment. Required Qualifications
- Five or more years of heavy truck maintenance experience
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Administrative and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and quality workmanship
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of computer literacy
- Ability to speak, hear, and see clearly for the responsibilities of the position
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

- Experience with a fleet or maintenance business management system

- Experience leading maintenance teams in a transportation or heavy equipment environment
