Job Summary
Fleet Manager in Asheville, NC coordinates and supervises maintenance, reviews DVIR repairs, prioritizes and assigns repairs, and ensures safety policy compliance. Supervises mechanics, coaches and trains staff, assigns PMs per schedule, and conducts quality inspections to ensure safe, reliable vehicles and optimal asset utilization. Oversees maintenance shops, staffing, and adherence to FCC safety standards, with responsibility for helping the shop and fleet operate ethically and safely. Requires a Bachelor's Degree (or in lieu of degree, HS diploma or GED) with five years of relevant experience, or equivalent. Strong skills in fleet maintenance, DVIR processes, safety compliance, PM scheduling, and vehicle management systems are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and Five (5) years of relevant work experience
- Experience supervising maintenance teams and coordinating vehicle maintenance
- Knowledge of DVIR process and safety regulations/policies
- Strong organizational and coaching/training skills
- Experience with PM scheduling and quality inspections of PMs
- Familiarity with vehicle management systems and fleet asset utilization
- Ability to ensure safe and reliable vehicles and adherence to safety standards
