Job Summary
Manage and optimise Downer's national light vehicle maintenance supplier network across Australia by monitoring supplier performance, service levels, and compliance outcomes. Conduct audits, inspections, and quality assurance reviews to drive fleet reliability, minimise downtime, and improve customer experience. Analyse maintenance data, repair trends, and expenditure to identify improvement opportunities and support financial governance processes. Build strong relationships with workshops, dealerships, and internal stakeholders while championing Zero Harm, safety leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is based anywhere in Australia with flexible working arrangements and reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager External - ANZ.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical Trade Qualification or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline
- Strong experience managing light vehicle maintenance operations and supplier networks
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance, workshop operations, compliance and asset lifecycle management
- Proven ability to manage supplier performance, maintenance quality and customer outcomes
- Strong commercial, financial reporting and analytical skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving capability
- Experience working with workshops, dealerships, repair networks and fleet service providers
