Fleet Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day fleet maintenance programs by planning, scheduling, and directing vehicle repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance to minimize costs and maximize vehicle use. Advise crew members on complex maintenance issues, review repair orders, and administer policies for maintenance control, compliance, quality assurance, and warranty administration. Ensure strict adherence to State, Federal, and company safety regulations while managing parts orders, fuel, and subcontracted repairs. Schedule projects efficiently, follow up on operational requests promptly, and maintain a safe, secure work environment. Work flexible hours across various locations to support field crew and maintain the Utili-Serve fleet's commitment to safety and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Ford Technician training and certification
- Mechanical aptitude
- At least three (3) years of automotive or diesel repair experience
- Knowledge of safe working practices
- Knowledge of DOT
- Knowledge of OSHA
- Knowledge of other federal and state regulations
- Must be capable of working in close proximity of energized substation equipment
- Must be capable of working in confined space areas
- Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle
- Successful completion of background screening requirements
- Successful completion of MVR requirements
- Successful completion of drug screening requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and at least three (3) years of automotive or diesel repair experience
