Fleet Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on the fleet's 12 vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems for sidecars while maintaining accurate repair records and conducting safety inspections per ADOT standards. Order parts, manage shop inventory, and clean vehicles weekly. Set up and tear down the 28-foot enclosed car hauler and associated Car Control equipment twice monthly on Fridays and Sundays. Ensure a clean, organized office environment and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime. Work 5.5-hour morning shifts Monday through Friday and Sunday.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance
  • Valid driver's license
  • Towed long trailer expertise
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, like very, very HOT conditions during the summer
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
  • Responsibility

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical school training
  • ASE certification(s)
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic tools, repair techniques, and safety protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
