Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, and repair all fleet trailing equipment in accordance with federal, state, and company standards to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct daily machinery inspections for potential problems and perform routine preventive maintenance using illustrated parts breakdown and operational manuals. Execute housekeeping duties including work area and equipment clean-up as assigned. Adhere to all safety regulations, LOTO procedures, and OSHA requirements while utilizing company tools and reading schematics. Requires 1+ years of mechanical, automotive, and electrical experience with tractor trailer expertise. Full-time Monday through Friday shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm with flexible scheduling for 24-hour operations.
Required Qualifications
- Tractor trailer experience
- 1+ years or greater related experience and/or training in mechanical, automotive, and electrical equipment
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- ability to learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions
- ability to utilize company tools and have the ability to purchase new tools as needed
- knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS), industrial conveyor systems and controls in distribution, shipping, and sorting environments, VFDs, and electronic motors (480V)
- knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PMs (Preventative Maintenance), and 3-Phase electrical work
- ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints
- mechanical and or electrical work experience
- knowledge of OSHA requirements
- ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate 24-hour operations, occasionally working extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
- ability to lift 60 pounds on a routine basis
