Fleet Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles and equipment by performing routine preventive maintenance, addressing mechanical and electrical issues, and replacing components like brakes and suspension. Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs while conducting DOT and safety inspections to maintain compliance records. Maintain accurate service documentation, communicate repair timelines with supervisors, and ensure shop tools and work areas remain clean and safe. Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm with occasional on-call or weekend availability; overtime is not paid under the Agriculture Exemption.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in fleet, diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment maintenance
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs
- Ability to read repair manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in varying weather conditions
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely
- Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm (work shift flexibility)
- May require occasional on-call or weekend work
