Fleet Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for Class 8 tractors and trailers in a high-utilization fleet. Work around ADS sensors and computing units, perform PMs and safety inspections, diagnose and repair tractor and trailer systems (air, brakes, cooling, electrical, suspension/steering, driveline, aftertreatment; lighting/wiring, landing gear, doors for trailers), maintain clear work orders (symptom → root cause → repair → verification), coordinate with vendors for tires, alignments, welding, and major repairs, assist with parts stocking, and communicate status/ETAs to Ops/Dispatch. Plus: follow OEM procedures with OEM diagnostic tools; basic first-line ADS checks and proper escalation when needed. Preferred: OEM/ASE certifications and/or DOT brake inspection experience; experience in 24/7 or high-utilization fleets; exposure to ADAS/ADS hardware.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years Class 8 tractor and trailer maintenance experience (fleet or dealership).
- Strong skills in PM execution, electrical troubleshooting, air systems and brakes.
- Compliance with documentation and shop safety/OSHA practices.
