Job Summary
Lead maintenance operations for a fleet of tractors, trailers, and forklifts; maximize uptime and reliability, supervise shop activities, prioritize work orders, and manage maintenance budgets. Drive root-cause analysis to reduce repeat equipment failures, oversee safety compliance and audits, maintain Cetaris-maintained records, and communicate equipment status and priorities to plant and transportation leadership. Maintain and improve preventive maintenance programs, supervise mechanics, and use data to guide continuous improvement in shop performance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading maintenance operations for fleet, heavy equipment, industrial, or transportation environments
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, fleet reliability, and shop operations
- Experience supervising mechanics or maintenance technicians in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with CMMS systems, preferably Cetaris, including work order and reporting management
- Strong understanding of safety compliance, OSHA standards, LOTO, PPE, and maintenance best practices
- Experience managing maintenance budgets, vendor relationships, and parts inventory
- Ability to analyze maintenance data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to drive accountability and team performance
