Job Summary
Manage daily operations and personnel for a shift, supervising technicians-in-charge, customer service coordinators, and service employees to ensure business objectives and labor requirements are met. Conduct yard checks, schedule and assign work to technicians, and triage unscheduled customer drive-ins while optimizing productivity and tracking repairs. Perform quality inspections of PM and repairs, execute breakdown root cause analysis, and oversee parts inventory and shop tooling. Direct labor management, handle customer relationship management and retention, and ensure compliance with safety, EPA, and financial targets including Net Maintenance Cost per Unit.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma/GED
- Associate's degree
- 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment
- Demonstrated success in a Ryder role
- Bachelor's degree
- Maintenance and Technical experience in a shop environment
- Supervisory experience
- Experience with a Shop Management System
- Microsoft Office intermediate
- DOT Regulated
Desired Qualifications
- Strong vehicle diagnostics/repair knowledge
- Bachelor's degree preferred or 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment
- Demonstrated success in a Ryder role
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with a Shop Management System preferred
- Microsoft Office intermediate preferred
