Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, specifically troubleshooting WABCO vehicle control systems and ABS systems. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns while keeping accurate records of all work performed. Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and regulations. This role supports the maintenance of concrete mixers, dump trucks, and loaders. We offer a $1000 signing bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a vocational or technical program in automotive repair or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fleet Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- CDL preferred (Hilltop can assist with obtaining license)
- Preferred experience with Cummins equipment, CAT equipment, and Allison transmissions
