Fleet Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
Directs and coordinates shop service activities for the fleet maintenance operation. Supervises service employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures. Responsibilities include preparing work schedules, assigning duties, implementing policies and service standards, identifying and addressing performance issues, recruiting and hiring, training employees, analyzing department finances and contributing to budget planning, designing and evaluating training programs, applying DOT regulatory knowledge to operations, managing payroll and overtime, and maintaining a safe work environment while driving customer service initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years management experience
- 5+ years truck maintenance experience required
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient in Word, Excel and the internet
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
