Job Summary
Fleet Maintenance Manager at Granger Waste Services leads shop operations to maintain fleet reliability, uptime and safety, overseeing supervisors, mechanics, and parts staff; utilizes fleet management software and data to prioritize work, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes and cost performance; collaborates with operations, safety and leadership teams to ensure safe, reliable equipment that supports essential community services; role emphasizes leadership, parts management, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration across locations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience maintaining diesel trucks and heavy equipment
- At least 2 years of management experience in a multi-shift maintenance environment
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in diesel technology, management or related field preferred
- Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft 365 and fleet management software
- Ability to drive results through data, organization and accountability
- Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician Certification preferred
